Summary: Andy wishes he wasn't so jealous of Torchwood's company car. A double drabble.

‘Oh, here we go,’ Andy groaned, as the rainwater sluiced off the brim of his cap. The big black car rounded the street corner and came to a stop right in front of him, kicking up a spray of water, dousing him to the knees.

Just once he'd like to think of it as a really cool car -the kind he'd be chuffed to drive himself if he were Torchwood. Instead it just made him feel small and insignificant with his blue and white chequered squad car. Technically it wasn't even his. His sad little grey Peugeot was parked three blocks from headquarters, since a sergeant wasn't afforded a parking space. He couldn't afford a cool SUV on his salary.

The window rolled down and instead of flashy Captain Jack, there was Ianto at the wheel. ‘Evening, Sergeant Davidson. Would you mind moving your vehicle for us?’

Andy lit up. ‘Why? Is it about to be eaten by a giant alien slug or something?’ Bit exciting and terrifying, but anything to get his foot in the door with Torchwood.

‘No, just don't want to have to park the SUV on a double yellow, and you're occupying the only free spot.’
