Andy was running harder than he ever had in his life. Running, because his life depended on it.

'You promised me nothing deadly dangerous or life threatening until I'd passed probation!'

'Life's full of broke promises,' Jack called back. 'Get used to it.'

Andy spotted a ladder propped against the wall and raced up it, putting himself out of reach. Jack followed, both out of breath.

'How do you mistake a rift reading for something small, cute and cuddly for something the size of a moose, hell bent of tearing our faces off?' Andy asked.

'It's easier than you think!'
