torchwood100Summary: Medical exams are stressing Jack out. A double drabble.
Jack was pacing the small medical bay, which in itself Ianto found quite amusing. The space wasn’t big enough for pacing, not with the two of them down there plus a heap of medical equipment. Jack was taking about two and a half steps before being forced to turn and start over. He looked like a caged animal, sweating on the results.
‘What if something is wrong?’ Jack said, pausing only long enough to address Ianto as he perched on the edge of the gurney.
‘Would you please relax?’ Ianto begged. ‘You’re going to work yourself up into a panic attack.’
‘He should be back by now.’
Ianto rubbed slow circles across his belly. ‘It’ll all be fine. I’d know if it wasn’t.’
‘You can’t know that! You’ve never been pregnant before.’
Ianto rolled his eyes. If Jack was going to be like this now, how was he going to cope with another five months of it? Jack was going to need more medical assistance than Ianto.
‘Scans are in!’ Jez announced, sweeping down the steps. ‘Three healthy little ones, I’m happy to report. Everything is going smoothly.’
‘Good. Now maybe you can calm down Jack before he passes out.’
